Settled Account and Nothing has been done for 2 Mo

On the 17th of October 2013 I called Standard bank to get a settlement amount and they gave me a number to call to get the amount. I called them and they sent me a message with the account number, a reference number, the settlement balance of R12846.60 and contact numbers. I went into standard bank and paid the money into the account and faxed and emailed proof of payment to Standard bank and the legal collections. Eventually after 1 and a half months I called them and they had told me that the account was paid and settled, so I was happy and went on until I got a sms from NDS Legal division telling me my account has been handed over to them for collections for the balance of 13800.00. Today I have been on the phone with everyone trying to resolve this problem and im now sick of this. its been almost 3 months and I now have no idea where my 12800 rand is sitting and my credit history with the credit bureau is now up to even more than before. Un till this is resolved I will not recommend Standard Bank.
