My ABSA credit card account was handed over to RL Daly Attorneys and I received an offer from ABSA to settle my account in June 2013. I took up this offer and paid over three months. Since my last payment, I have been trying to get a letter from ABSA stating that my account has been paid in full. ABSA keeps telling me to get a letter from RL Daly Attorneys. But RL Daly Attorneys says I need to get the letter from ABSA and that their file is closed. If I owed the money to ABSA and ABSA has listed me on the credit bureau, they should give me a letter. I also e-mailed ABSA on 3 September 2013, received an automated response (Ref: EC: 8DE4356A) but no one from ABSA has contacted me to check if my query was ever resolved or giving me a letter.
