Standard bank turns holiday into a nightmare

A month before i came on my holiday to the UK i informed my bank that i will be travelling abroad and raised my limits on my visa debit card. I thought all was good, and that my bank actually deliver services you ask for. The 18th of december i flew to nairobi/kenya and had a 14 hour stopover where the plan was to get a hotel and spend the night however standard bank never raised any of my limits and as an additional frustration they have for some miraculous reason put i daily swiping limit on my card and claims to this day that it has always been there, no matter how much i tell them i never had the limit and if i did it wasn't so low. I ended up spending my 14 ours just waiting in the terminal. Now im in the uk i managed to draw 50 pounds soon as i landed, and a week later im unable to make any transactions what so ever, called up the bank and they just deny that i ever told them i will be travelling abroad. If i didnt have any friends and family here in the uk, my bank would've left me out in the streets. This is just 1 of many issues i've had with standard bank.
