My card got on my way to the branch today. When I get to the branch they closed at 15:30 I got there at 15:45. This is a joke since all the other banks in Clearwater are still open, some of them until 18:00. This is not all when I call to complain and to request how I can access my money there response to me is that the branch closes at 15:30 for safety. (if that is the case I don't understand why all other banks are still open) I am also told that I have no other way in getting my funds since I need my card to access internet banking etc. I need to find my way to my holiday destination tomorrow with no funds (and no way to get to a branch before monday) and explaining this to them has no impact. Clearly Standard Bank has to many clients and losing one more will not bother them. It is clear that if you are ever in a emergency situation Standard Bank will not be the bank to assist you. This is very sad since I have been with Standard Bank since primary school and has always bragged about what a good bank they are.
