I have an outstanding debt on credit card with standard bank which I went to settle about 5 yrs ago at Constantia branch. Due to inefficiency of the bank they didn't access payment. a couple of months later I was called by Sterling Debt recoveries telling me my account is handed over to them. unhappy as I was they told me to pay R200 against my will. I would normally transfer an amount of R200 around the 15th of every month. Previously they have deducted an amount of R200-400 on their own after they had not received payment on the 15th. In the past month they offered me a settlement offer of about R7000 and I wanted an account of previous payments that I had made because they never sent me and I was not convinced I still owed them and they didn't send me. in October 2013 I was not able to pay R200. Sterling debt recoveries called asking me for payment. I told them I'll be making a payment on the week of the 16th December. I transferred R200 to my credit card account on the 16th Dec 2013. on the 17th Dec at 13H07 an amount of R7022.00 was transferred to my credit card account. So far the standard bank hasn't been of assistance to me, they referred me to their legal dept/ sterling
