I applied for a loan via the call center. after completing the application with the consultant I was informed via the consultant and a SMS that the system had provisionally approved my application and I am required to submit certain documentation. After 3 and half days I had to contact the call center as they had not responded to my application. I then get informed that my application had been declined due to affordability. Why was this not done prior to informing my that my application was provisionally approved. I had been approved by Nedbank and FNB for a loan as I applied to multiple bans to investigate were i would get the best deal. I declined the APPROVED application at the other banks as ABSA said I was provisionally approved and I felt that their deal was the best. I guess that enjoy messing there customers around!!!
