On 23 Oct'13 I had an accident with my vehicle. It was so severely damaged that it had to be towed. Quote of R131K was received, but insurance requoted suggesting used parts for R96K. On 30 Oct'13 we receive a mail stating authorization was given for repairs. We asked for the vehicle to be written off. On 18Nov'13 I phone to collect my vehicle, only to be told they have not received the authorization from my insurer yet! Of course my broker has no I idea, the PB confirmed that they received the authorization that day. On 25Nov'13 the PB informs the assessors that they deem the vehicle a write off and will not try to do the repairs. On 9 Dec'13 we phoned to collect our repaired vehicle but NO! According to PB the vehicle is a write off and our broker has no knowledge of what's going on. After reassessing the vehicle they realized that there is even more extensive damage R163K. Yet our broker tells us they are busy repairing the vehicle. However, we were informed by the PB that they will never repair it as the damage exceeds value. Clearly the vehicle should now be written off, but we are in the dark. Even the Help line refer us back to our broker with no assistance from her at all.
