I took a policy about a month ago with Miway as my current insurance cost had increased. My current insurer then gave me a better rate and I immediately called Miway to cancel. I was asked to rather place the Miway policy on hold till end December 2013 to allow time to decide if I still wanted to insure with Miway.
My bank account was debited this evening by Miway, without prior notification.
I find this to be a rather sneaky way of doing business. Its a Saturday evening, and Monday is a public holiday, so I can't contact the Miway call centre.
From my understanding, this policy was placed on hold till the END of December, and, I had intended to have it cancelled next week anyway.
Please refund my money ASAP and cancel this policy.
