I called the FFW call centre and spoke to an agent Lebogang, who was courteous and tried his best to explain the 40 % increase, Lebogang provided the best service he could within his scope, he even spoke to a manager who managed to make few adjustments to the policy and the home insurance went down a bit, but my vehicle insurance is still on a 39.91% increase!
I requested a manager to call me in about 5-10min, more than 40min later I received a call from a supervisor (Victor Pabayachey) who was empathetic, but not helpful in justifying or reducing the ridiculous increase of 39.91%. I understand that an increase is a normal thing on an annual basis, but a 10% maximum increase is the norm for a low risk profile. I was told that the high increase is calculated based on the high claims request for the current year, inflation and operating costs for the company. I am disgusted with the inflated increase of 40 % and the lack of execution on escalated issues.
I requested higher management to call me, 4days later, I am still waiting for this call. I expect a call back today (10/12/2013, before 14:30) from First for Women with a better premium or I am cancelling my policy.
