I changed to FNB two months ago to a savings account. FNB deducted about R3000 out of my savings acc for an old credit card.the amount could not reversed by the bank consultants apparently a manual debit was done by their collections acc. I only get paid on commission only but i had pre-arranged with one of their appointed lawyers beforehand to payR500 a month, so they did not want to reverse the amount till they confirmed with them and they kept the R500 amount. I unfortunately did not pay the lawyer the R500 last month & FNB has deducted the amount of R3000 from the savings account that did not have money in which means my account is now in arrears /negative of R3000 on the SAVINGS acc. They deduct these amounts without my agreement or authorization, how can they deduct money without getting authorization from a savings account and make it to be in arrears even if one owes them money? surely this is illegal? they kept the R500& reversed the rest. I have no control over my money or the account. It means that next time they will just take all the money in my account and i can`t do anything about it and not even reverse it as they control whether i get the money or not. DON`T GO 2 FNB!
