ABSA Insurance - no response & pathetic service

We have had severe damage to our house with the hail storm last Thursday, 28 November 2013. We have a broken sliding door window, broken outside window, broken roof tiles and a leak through our kitchen ceiling. We lodged a claim online and received reference number 15604. We had no response from the call centre after the 24 - 48 hours.

On Tuesday, 3 December 2013 we got through to the call centre and were told that the online claim system does not work. We lodged another claim and received the sms stating that an agent would contact us within 24 to 48 hours - our reference number is 2495743.

To date we have still not had any feedback. We held on for almost an hour this morning after been told to phone 4 different numbers.

When we finally got through we were given the contractors name to contact. We contacted the contractor and they do not do replace windows but can fix the ceiling and roof tiles. Jaycee therefore rejected the claim and had informed ABSA - yet when phoning ABSA they told us that this would be our contractor.

We are going away next week and have all these broken windows and roof tile damage. After a week still no response from ABSA - PATHETIC
