FNB has no TRUST in me!!!

I received a sms from FNB, that i can now apply for a second smart device, on the 19th of November, i applied online, only to get a sms a few days later that my application was declined. I received a email from Trevor Dell this morning, stating that my application was declined because my name is listed on the credit bereau. I want to know, what changed now at FNB??? Why do you do credit checks now? Because with my Samsung S4 and my settled Blackberry 8520, you had no issues giving me the devices, i always paid on time, there was always money in my account for the device payment. FNB wants to upgrade my account to a Platinum Cheque account, but you cant trust me enough to give me a another Smart device? But i must trust FNB with my salary every month??? This smart device offer was one thing that made FNB unique, But now that fnb had changed the process, FNB are exactly the same as any other bank!!! 4 months ago i applied for a loan, and FNB declined me. Guess what? Capitec trusted me enough to give me a R80 000 loan. Strongly considering it to change banks!!! All depends what this outcome is! Where the is STEVE? He's much more helpful!!!
