Due to consecutive missed payments my policy has been cancelled. I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years until a few months ago when I experienced financial problems. I even referred at least 5 colleagues whom have taken up policies with MiWay. I did not receive any calls from them warning of the cancellation infact I called them at the end of Oct informing them of the problem and was advised that as soon as I was ready that I could call and re-instate the policy. At the end of November I expected that they would debit my account but instead was sent a sms informing me that my policy was cancelled, at the same time, I was sent an email with the new policy schedule (unchanged from the previous policy). I called yesterday to enquire about the cancellation sms with the intention of re-instating. I was quoted R500 more then I usually paid. I requested to have my premium as it was however was told that due to the break in policy it could not be and that the policy schedule was sent in error. I am very disappointed in Miway considering I always spoke highly of them if anyone needed car insurance.
