Settlement Balance

Im very upset with African Bank. The way they deal with the customers and the way they run stuff. I called in today to get a settlement balance. The main purpose is to settle my loan with them and become debt free. I recieved the loan lost my job and was not able to pay and then made a arrangement where by the consultant called to say i wont be charged any interest they are placing me on a rescheduling agreement. i then agreed. My spouse now decided to pay off one of the loans to assist me and then i could go on paying the other one. I called the call centre today for the settlement. The Balance is R15584 which I want to settle. They give me an amount of R18558.70 which is almost R3000 more than the current balance. Im going to get the ombudsman involved coz this is daylight. You try to settle your debt to come out of debt and they want to add more fees and interests. I think this is unfair practice as the agent advised me that im on a no interest agreement so why should i be paying a extra R3000 when i want to settle? this doesnt make sense. I will take this matter further. I wont be paying R3000 extra to cover African Banks Losses. Im sorry im struggling mys
