I joined the UCount rewards programme at the end of June this year. I've done everything needed to achieve the Top Tier rating including transferring certain products to Standard Bank. I also had to take time out of my work schedule to go into a branch to give consent so that Standard Bank could send me marketing material as this would give you 100 tiering points. My account profile showed for a while that I was on the Top Tier. Last month my profile indicated that I was on back on lower tier. I was told that they have no record of me giving consent to their marketing department and that it could have been overridden in the branch somehow. I found this hard to believe because almost immediately after giving consent I started receiving calls from various Standard Bank departments marketing their products on an almost daily basis. Also, your online profile tells you what you still need to do in order to reach the next tier and giving consent to receive marketing material was coloured blue (indicating that you have received points for that category). Surely if I had been on the top tier for some time they would have a record of it. My follow up emails have since been ignored!
