I was involved in an accident on the 7th of November 2013 and the bystander assisted by calling the towing and recovery company as my vehicle could not be driven after the accident. Towing company asked if who's my insurer and indeed they called them. Towing company was told to wait for the callback from the insurance and they phoned back to give an authorisation number for the towing of my vehicle.
I then phoned the insurance on the 8th of November 2013 and I was told that my insurance has been cancelled when I asked why was I not informed they told me that the letter was sent to my last known address and it was returned back to them as unclaimed and they were in the process of re-posting it back to me when I told them that I am involved in an accident
My question is how can they authorise the towing of my vehicle and I was told that everyone who phone their road side assistance is helped irrespective of them being insured or not and that on it's own shocked m
