I negotiated with Bilkish Mohamed of African Bank to settle my loan with them for a discounted amount. I was informed on a letterhead that African Bank accepts my offer and the bank details was provided to me on the letter. I deposited the settlement amount the next day and forwarded the settlement letter and proof of payment to them to allocate. I have since after numerous calls them been able to confirm that my payment was allocated, however I am being told that I still owe the rest of the balance. I have faxed the settlement letter and proof on numerous ocassions to them but to no avail. Bilkish just never ever calls me back or responds to my e-mails. Yesterday morning I received a call from debt collectors at 7am threatening me! and today your office once again calls me to thank me for my payment. Is settlement really such a complex aspect that nobody at African Bank can understand??? STOP harrassing me and sort out YOUR problems! And do not I beg you, call me again to confirm receipt of my payment and ask me where's the rest, because ask your debt collector - I WILL LOSE IT!!!
