First National Bank
Debit Order switching??? What a joke!

I opened a FNB cheque account for myself in about May 2013. I sent my debit order switching forms away all excited to FINALLY switch banks. It's been 6 months, and I haven't heard anything back from them regarding the switching of my debit orders. Earlier this month, I received an email stating that I need to add R300 odd rand into my account as it is overdrawn. I'm not even using the YET & already I'm being threatened that If I don't cover the overdrawn amount withing 35 days, then the issue would be taken further. So, I went & filled in the debit order switching forms AGAIN & still heard nothing back from FNB. I just called them to find out what's happening regarding my forms & I was told that they received the forms, however, it was too light & therefore could not be processed. I don't understand why I wasn't called regarding my application, and if I was called (as I had a missed call on my phone but couldn't call the number back) why didn't they leave a voicemail???
REALLY disgusted with the service and am contemplating completely closing this account. Will it now be ANOTHER month before any action is taken? I refuse to pay the R300 odd as this shouldn't be my problem!
