First National Bank
HOME LOAN SWITCH

FNB contacted me to switch my Home Loan in May 2013 from Standard Bank. I agreed to the switch and the Home Loan was approved. Standard Bank let them know I had to pay penalty interest, because I had to give 3 months notice. I said that I would wait out the 3 months/ All the time I had to follow up on the application and remind the lawyers of the dates. I live in Nelspruit so FNB had to use Nelspruit lawyers. Al the documentation that required signatures was not signed off, so after further delay I was sent more documentation to sign off. Needless to say by the end of October the bond was still not registered. I was promised the bond will be registered by the 20th of November. Today when I required about the process I got a mail stating that there was a further shortfall of R10 000.00, but the layers could not give me the exact amount or when or where it had to be paid... This has been a long and tedious process and not what the add stated...
