African Bank's Head Office inefficiency

I had taken a loan from African Bank (AB) and then settled the account, probably 3 months back... Only to find out when opening an account @ another shop yesterday that I'm in arrears with African Bank and I have been reported with the Bureau regarding the unsettled AB loan. What frustrates me is why wasn't the AB system updated as soon as the settlement payment was made. I contacted the AB Head office and I could not be assisted promptly, I was put on hold for long times and still my name has not been cleared... This error from AB worries me because it will spoil my Credit history, as I was told that it takes 1year for one to be cleared and I can't have my life @ a standstill because of inefficient people that did not do their job properly. This is a huge disappointment because I had regarded AB as a very organized amd reputable organisation, not an organisation that makes people look bad with the Credit Bureau. This will have an extremely negative impact on me. I trust this error will be rectified as soon as possible because it is of extreme urgency.
