Prestige Bank - just a gimmick.. dont fall for it!

When Standard Bank called me a year back to offer Prestige Banking instead of the then Elite Banking, there were a lot of promises made. After more than a year, I can assure you, when I as a customer request some assistance, even after almost 3 months I am waiting for a satisfactory response to my query.

I went to bank twice, followed up with "Prestige banker" on emails multiple times (atleast 7 to 8 times, most of which never received any response), called the "Prestige banker" (what a mission - I had to call the so called "Prestige Line", if I am lucky after 30 to 45 minutes of holding, I may get through the "Prestige banker", mostly call disconnects;total waste of my precious time and telephone expense). Being "Prestige" account holder, I assumed service would be better compared to my prior experience, alas not!!

Bottom-line, I don't see any difference in the service levels as promised before, compared to when I was on Elite account. Only difference is that, I am paying 70% more on my monthly fees. I personally would not recommend anyone shifting from Elite as there has not been any benefit, it will be simply promises. Hope this helps others.

I guess my eternal wait continues
