FNB Smart Phone Device not activated as yet

I purchased a Smart Phone device through FNB and received the delivery on Monday 04 Oct 2013, it stated that after three working days the Sim Card will be activated and then i will be able to load airtime and use my device an normal. It has been four day to date, i had to contact the call centre to find out what is happening and then only did the lady send it through. She explained that it will take another three days for my sim card to be activated through Cell C.
Why does it take so long and i just feel that this is very unprofessenal.
