WROTE TO AN ABSA PERSONAL BANKER ON 05 NOV 2013 & no acknowledgement/answer
I have experienced a problem with debit orders on my account. 1 debit order has been active since 2003 to the amount of R65. I have approached the bank in the past to try to stop this debit order but I was told that the best the bank can do is reverse the money but I must lodge a dispute. As for the company defrauding me; I was informed that I must take the responsibility of cancelling the debit order with this company but it is a phantom/ company which means that they are not contactable. Last week I called in again as yet another company called Genesis Call centre started debiting my account. This took place on 31 October 2013 with an amount of R399. I put a dispute and the money was reversed. I also went on to Hello Peter & found that numerous people have complained of this company for the same reasons. I am putting this complaints formally as I need ABSA as my trusted bank to help me stop this once and for all. I am willing to write an affidavit attesting to the fact that these companies do not hold mandate from me to debit my account if this is a feasible solution.
