Last year I opted to go under debt review and one of my creditors were RCS. They had accepted the new payment terms etc. This year things came right and I opted out of debt review in September. When I proceeded to check my credit report, I saw that in January RCS wrote off my debt. It looks like they handed the debt over to another agency (Easton Berry) I paid the outstanding amount to Easton Berry in full in September as RCS told me it was handed over to them. There was no notification that the debt was going to be written off and as a result I have the bad mark on my credit report. That marking needs to be removed with immediate effect. Payments were made to RCS every month up until I came out of debt review. This should have never happened and I should have been notified first by law. I cannot log a dispute and wait another 21 days as this was incorrect from the beginning and this is affecting my home loan application as I look bad as it seems I cannot pay my debt which is untrue. I will be forced to go to the ombudsman.
