Some time ago I took out a personal loan from Wonga. I was retrenched and communicated with Wonga in this regard. We put a payment arrangement in place to collect an amount per month via debit order. After the first month the amount went off and a lady phoned me stating we have to make another arrangement as it is on a month to month basis. We arranged for an amount only to see that the original amount and the new amount was deducted off my account. (This to me is as I was made to understand that only one amount will be deducted) I have also been contacted by two law firms stating they act on behalf of Wonga. What the is going on? Why is the account being handed over if it is being repaid and an arrangement is in place? Trying to contact Wonga is impossible! I will not be responsible for additional legal fees. Be careful dealing with Wonga.
