On the 10 October 2013 I had an accident involving a car that has been insured through Regent Insurance Botswana. Obviously, being from Johannesburg, and with the accident happening in Johannesburg, I was very very weary about the fact that the vehicle that crashed into me has a Botswana insurance. And so I should have been. Nearly a month later (and 20 emails, and 5 phone calls to Aon Botswana) I still do not even have a report from the Pretoria Assessors that went to assess the vehicle on behalf of Regent. I have again had no reply to my email sent to Daniel requesting information about what is happening. I have been without a car for nearly a month now. On my normal insurance I have car hire, as we all know how inconvenient it can be to be without a vehicle. I am now very very angry, when I called Aon Botswana, the brokers, I was told that it is 'insurance practise' that I should claim from my Insurance and they Will then claim from Regent, funny then how they all offer no claim bonusses (interesting). I hope to get some kind response, I am desperate to know what is going on and if I will ever have a car again. Help
