I applied for a further loan to my existing bond (29/10/2013) as I need financial assistance... It was declined-reason: affordability. I applied reason to consolidate most of my debt which will give me R6000 more per month. They cant see it that way. I re applied for a lesser amount (31/10/2013). Received no answer from the FL department. I had to phone to ask what is the outcome of my application. until today I have not received any answer from them for the second application. SA Home loans advertise, that if you need financial assistance, they can help. Sorry this advertising is False as they do not look at how they can assist their clients. I have been a bond holder for years and they helped me once or twice years ago, but now that I am in need again... they don't want to assist. They are forcing people to look at other options which works out even more expensive and not helping their clients in any way.
I am looking at moving my bond which will cost me more as I need to re-register my bond again... SA Homeloans puts you further in debt instead of assisting to get out of it. In this tight economy we would need assistance and not rejection.
