Last week Friday I made a payment arrangement with FNB collections division. I explained to the consultant that i could not afford the payment of R1467 which was required but i would make a payment of R1000.00 to which he responded that that would be fine. On Saturday FNB decide to debit R1467.00 from my account anyway. On Monday i called in to find out why they had debited my account as there was an arrangement in place, and i was told that because that is the arrears amount my account would have been debited that amount anyway. Why did the consultant not tell me that the arrangement means jack actually and FNB will debit your account no matter what arrangement you make. Surely if there was an arrangement in place they would need to abide by it. I'm not impressed as this is the second time that it's happened that i've made an arrangement to pay a certain amount and FNB just does their own thing and deducts the money out my account. I requested that they re-imburse the R467.00 as that money was meant to go towards my babies nappies and formula for the month and i was rudely told no! You guys don't seem to understand that most people work on budgets. :-( :-( :-( :-(
