Approved then declined

I applied for a loan with Bruma Finance and was told that I was approved for R1500.00. This was sufficiant and I was willing to take up the offer as it was only for a short period. I contacted the call centre and asked them to put the request on hold for the time being as I might not need the funds and will get back to them should I still require it. Yesterday I contacted the call cente back and informed them that I require the funds. The consultant once again told me I was approved to R1500.00 and I said that is fine. I forwarded all the documents to her and this morning got a SMS informing that I was declined. Why waste my time and say I was approved and then decline me. They say based on affordability? But yet you told me the first time round that I qualify. Now I'm sitting in a mess with nowhere to turn to as I had the assurance in the back of my mind that should I require the funds it will be available. You and wated my time.
