My vehicle financed through ABSA was written off and unfortunately the insurance didnt pay out and ABSA was notified, I received an offer for the wreck and this was paid into the ABSA account.
I was not in arrears and now in July 2013, which is when ABSA was notified of the write off, they list my account on Transunion as handed over. How is it logically possible that it was never in any arears then suddenly its handed over?
I have actually over paid this account monthly in an attempt to pay it up by November.
I am trying to get a mortgage and pulled my credit report just to see if there are any unknown accounts or incorrect entries, now ABSA diligently wrecks my credit record for nothing. I have no credit cards, no store cards, my other car finance is squeaky clean, and now thanks to ABSA I am in this situation. I keep being sent in circles and there is only one person who is handling the account that I have to wait for to get back to work.
Way to lose good customers.
