I have purchased a new smart device from FNB and to make use of the free 3G data they are promoting. The advert on FNB's website. "To get rewarded with 3G data, you must be an active FNB Tablet, Smartphone or Laptop Contract holder. For more information please visit the Tablets and Smartphone page on [URL Removed]
With this smart device a Cell C SIM card was delivered and after speaking to FNB service advisor the data can only be used on this specific SIM card. This is extremely frustrating as I have to swap between SIM cards to make voice calls or when I want to use data.
I do not want to change my current cell number. If it was advertise correctly on the website as data was only available on Cell C network I would reconsider taking this contract to benefit from the 3G data promotion.
