My aunt has a Hospital Plan with Absa and she was admitted in Hospital on the 06/07/2013 till 12/07/2013, a claim was instituted on the 07/07/2013 but until now it has not been paid. When we call to follow up they keep on requesting the hospital bill but we have emailed the confirmation that she was hospitalised and because she is a pensioner she does not pay at the Government hospital hence we do not have the hospital bill. The confirmation from the hospital explains the duration of her being in hospital and what was wrong and what was done but it looks as if it is not enough. We sent an email to the complaints department but nothing happens. She is now thinking of cancelling all her policies with Absa as she is asking herself what is going to happen if she dies, it means they are not going to pay as well.
