I was switching insurance companies, to move to budget insurance. The policy document sent to me stated that the premum will be R661, and the consultant who called me advised me that the admin fees will be waived.
The debit order went off my account on the 20th Jan 2013. Surprisingly the premium amount that was charged is R923.27 And on top that they charged an admin fee of R245. So in total Budget Insurance took R1, 168.27 from my account.
I contacted them on the 24th Jan asking for a refund and they promised that someone will get back to me as soon as possible. I guess they meant as soon as it is possible for them.

I want my money back. I do not wish to take up Budget Insurance ever! I shall stick with my current insurance. Thank you very much.

I could also just contact my bank and do a debit order reversal, but I refuse to pay service fees for someone else's faults.
