Bad service - need trained staff

I went to Standard Bank - Century City Branch few times to apply for Personal Loan and Over draft.. (For my housing loan)..

I met one of the consultant and she took my details and verified in systems and said, I am qualified for Personal Loan and Over draft, How ever she said I need to provide Payslip, Address proof, 3 months bank statement from other bank (Since my salary is being credited to other bank) they need to make application etc..

I am banking with Standard Bank since Feb 2011..

I have given all my details (Payslip's, 3 months bank statement, address proof, my contract letter - Permanent job etc.. ) to the consultant...

Yesterday, I received call from Consultant saying, my application is declined... Reason is: I am no longer banking with Standard Bank... Is this true???

I still have Standard Bank account and My salary is being credited to another bank...

It will now reflects on my credit rating.. :( ... I would like to understand.. first of all why the consultant need to take the document's to apply for Personal Loan?? when they only look after they own clients (Who ever salary is being credited)? I am not happy with the service...
