On the 20/06/2012 my car was damaged by another person's vehicle herein referred to as Third party abbr. (TP). I lodged a claim with my insurance company, Winchester insurance brokers, who then transferred the duties to insurance company responsible for the repairs of my vehicle. I paid R7500 in excess that, according to my insurance, would be transferred to my account upon payment from the insurance of the TP. I wrote a complaint in this platform and a response came back to say that the Regent insurance, the insurer of TP is disputing facts. I do not understand what is being disputed here because my vehicle was damaged while parked and I was not there when it was damaged but I took pictures of the TP's vehicle while it was still on scene in case Regent insurance wants a proof. I phoned Regent but they refused any dealings with me instead required that I ask my insurance to make a follow-up to a person they specified as Katlego on 011 8792357. I did as instructed and an Attorney acting on behalf of my insurance company replied to an Email I sent and said that they have taken the matter further and Regent is still drawing a settlement offer. Until now Regent insurance has not paid.
