Last month i noticed that my Standard Bank credit card has been blocked. I then went to Standard Bank Ziyabuya, KwaDwesi, Port Elizabeth to enquire what is going on, I was told to call the credit card customer care line which i did at the bank, a consultant informed me that my vehicle finance account with them blocked my credit card, it's not them. When i asked why would another department do that, they said they dont know. Today i called the vehicle finance department and they said there is no such, they don't have records of other departments, it's impossible for them to do that, i must go back to credit card department. I am so upset and off because i spent over R50 airtime trying to call that department unsuccessfully. Each time i call, i am transferred to an answering machine with self service. If no one from Standard Bank credit card gets back to me by close of business today, i will stop paying for that credit card because i'm paying but i can't use it even though the bank is deducting each month.
