I had 2 accounts at african bank in 2008. The last payments were made in 2008 after due to personal reasons couldnt pay my accounts after I informed the consultants who phoned me for payments about my situation. I phoned the credit bureau to do a credit check on myself today and still these accounts show on my name even though it is prescriped. The accounts is prescriped and I am not willing to pay for them. what must I do to get them to remove my name from credit bureau?? It is against the law to list a account at the credit bureau while it is prescribed. I want to clear my credit record because I was stupid and still young 6 years ago, what can I do please advise.
