After complaining of the tedious process to apply for a loan (here on Hello Peter) a capitec consultant called me. My application was declined. I'm looking to buy a car and I made an application for an Absa loan and was approved for R90 000. I went into a Capitec branch, thinking I would get a better deal with my own bank. Guess what?! I was only offered R7000 and the reason was because I'm on a five year working contract. This is despite the fact that I'm a customer, my salary has been paid since the inception of my work contrac to date (which would make for easy collection) I have since withdrawn all my money and I am contemplating moving banks to Absa. The consultant from H/O who initially declined my application was supposed to get b ack to me after I'd asked her to escalate my query to her superiors. Capitec is fast becoming the icon of unfulfilled promises and bad customer serv ice.
