This is not really a complaint, more an expression of disappointment. After getting a quote from Outsurance, my current insurer match and bettered their quote. I then called Outsurance to cancel my insurance and the agent tried her best to convince me to stay, but because I was in a terrible rush, I asked for the policy to be cancelled. She quoted a very good premium and perhaps if I wasn't in much a rush, I might have considered. After thinking about it and sleeping on it, I called Outsurance this morning to ask them to give me their absolute best premium and was advised that as I cancelled the policy the day before, I would have to start from the word go again as my details and profile has been deleted and the quote of yesterday may not apply anymore. What baffles me is that my profile is just gone overnight and that they just did not show any interest in retaining me! I understand that canceling a policy might wipe out your profile, but not after one night AND my existing cover with them is still running until the end of September. Oh well, I guess they just not that hard up for business...
