My CC owned ABSA monies on the CC's overdraft. As I signed surity, ABSA demanded the money from me which I payed after receiving a letter from their attorneys.
Never the less ABSA still listed me on ITC.
Their attorneys assured me that my name will be removed from ITC once the total account, which their attorneys Hammond Pole send to me, has been settled. ABSA also admitted in writing that there has been a communication error on their side which caused my name to end up on ITC.
In my email conversation between their attorneys, Hammond Pole and myself, they repeatedly said that all cost was included and that my name would be removed once the account has been settled.
Now, a few months later and my name removed from ITC, I receive an account from Hammond Pole for clearing my name.
Why should I pay for a communication error between ABSA and their attorneys, after they repeatedly said that all charges are included in the final account and that my name would be removed after settling the account. No mentioning of additional fees.
This is pathetic from ABSA.
They made the mistake and they should rectify it.
