What`s the use of having insurance

I contacted the callcentre in Pretoria and reported my faulty geyser/no hot water pressure. A subcontractor came to my house and inspected the geyser and it`s connections. It was found that the house is fitted with a very old low pressure geyser and that the Latco valve might be faulty. Without investigating further and actually any attempt to assist me., I was called and informed that the geyser will not be replaced and that I must sort this problem out myself, either by using the subcontractor who inspected the geyser or to find another plumber. I have been paying premiums now for almost three years without ever submitting a claim, and at the first opportunity Outsurance gets, the claim is repudiated due to the fact that the geyser is not leaking/burst. If the Latco valve is replaced the geyser won`t even last a month. I will be looking for another insurer and advise all my clients, as I also work in the insurance industry not to ever use outsurance, as they do not even attempt to assist their client`s when they have a valid claim!
