I always receive my Credit Card statement by e-mail on a specific e-mail address. On 27 August 2013 I received a strange looking statement on a different e-mail address. On 29 August I forwarded this e-mail to the following addresses: [Email Removed] [Email Removed] and [Email Removed] asking them whether it was legitimate pointing out that it looked different and was sent to a different e-mail address. There was no response from ABSA, so I phoned 0860008600 on 11 September. A gentleman with the name of Brent handled my complaint. While I was holding, he contacted the person/s reacting on e-mails and confirmed that they did receive my complaint and that it was indeed a. I complained about ABSA not responding to such a serious matter and his response was that the people he just spoke to said that "there are so much e-mails that they cannot respond". That is totally unacceptable. He also confirmed that I will receive an e-mail to explain what had happened. Needless to say, that did not happen either.
