What is the process for the alocation of Payments?

Please will you assist me in understanding why a payment allocation takes up to 14 days to do? You see, on the 31st of July 2013 I made a payment of R270 as usual and it was allocated to my account within 2 -3 days. On the 7th of August, I made another payment, but a larger amount of R2000 and on the 29 of August 2013 a payment of R200. The R200 was also allocated to my account with in a matter of days. It is now the 12 of September 2013 and the R2000 payment made more than a month ago is still not allocated to my account. Why was the smaller payments allocated so easily and without proof of payment, but not the larger payment? I can't help but feel that it is due to a lack of good, quality client service that it will take up to 14 days to allocate, because if whoever does the allocations did their job to the best of their ability, this would not have been an issue in the first place. So, if large amounts of money are confusing the allocation department, I guess you should advise all your client's to only make minimum payments, or better yet, take their money to a company that takes pride in customer care and who will be able to solve a problem in less than 7 days.
