I have instructed Absa to cancel our building insurance via email on the 8/2/2011 with effective date of cancelation being 01/03/2011. Despite my request to have the insurance cancelled, the policy is still active. I have supplied Absa with a copy of my new insurance schedule with Santam, but they never acted on my request to have my insurance cancelled. I have now dual insurance on the property and paying double my premium. Despite my calls to Absa and various emails, I have not received a respones to say if they will refund my premiums paid. I am insisting that they refund me ASAP and have emailed them my banking details. Would like Absa to investigate and come back to me.
