We cancelled our Assupol policy end of May 2013, the signed confirmation was sent to them on 4/6/2013, and we stopped the debit order. They thus had to pay out the surrender value of R1379.84 (according to a letter we received in February 2013). But since June up to end of August we've been sending emails because no surrender value got paid out. Even in August we were told that policy had never been cancelled so we had to send signed confirmation again. On 5/9/2013 R1289.88 was paid out. But on 6/9/2013 an Assupol premium of R256.22 was deducted from our bank account. I sent Sophie a few emails questioning it and at last she responded with: "your policy is been cancelled on the 5th the surrender value that you received the premium is included on the money you received". I don't accept this because it doesn't make sense.
