First National Bank
Charges for Statements

4 Weeks ago I printed my business bank statements at home and took them to FNB Cape Gate to have them stamped. The lady at collections informed me she would have to verify each transaction before she can stamp them, therefore it will be easier for her to reprint them from her system at no charge and then stamp them. Hence, when I went to the branch yesterday to have 6 month business statements and 6 month personal statements stamped, I did not take printed copies with me. I was charged R253 for 16 useful pages of personal statements (it seems they double printed the last 3 months and double charged me). I was also charged R220 for 12 pages business bank statements which seemed quite an ordeal to get printed, so I suspect I was charged for consultant errors well. Not only was I incorrectly billed for these statements, I also find it appalling that nobody at Canal Walk (business statements) or at Cape Gate (personal statements) made any mention of the apparant R11 cost per page. I can assure you if this was made known, I would have printed them at home myself to save me these costs.
