No limit increase for card under 6 months

During June 2013 I applied at my primary banker for a limit increase of R5k who advised me that it will take up to 7 days for a credit answer. Disappointed I turned to ABSA who did not only immediately gave me a credit answer, but also managed to deliver my card before my primary banker could give me an answer. ABSA offered me a limit that exceeded my needs and I only requested a smaller amount of R5k to be loaded. I now have a need for an increased limit but was advised by the Call Centre that they cannot assists twice within a six months period. If I was aware of your six month policy during June, I would've taken up the whole limit. Kindly assist with an increased limit.
