My account was handed over to the attorneys as i had serious financial problems. i made arrangements with the attorneys and i am currently paying off the debt in instalments of R1000.00 per month. As at 08 May 2013 the balance was R17 739.61 and today it is R14 467.39.
Today i called the attorneys to enquire as to the settlement figure as I intended settling the debt on monday the 9th September 2013. The lady who answered the phone advised me that the balance on the account is plus or minus R23 000.00. I told her that this was impossible because the balance was R14 467.39 in May and I have made payments of R1000.00 per month.
I never received summons or any legal document from them the last letter that I received from them was dated 6 march 2012. The only communication i receive from them is when they harrass me long before the date i am supposed to pay and saying i have agreed to increase the agreed installment when i have not agreed to such arrangements. i expect the settlement figure to be at least in the region of R10 000.00 and not the ridiculous amount they are telling me.
