I have had numerous issues initially when applying for building loan with Nedbank. After 3/4 months of struggles and complaints the building loan was approved eventually in principal. Now the application is at building loan department for the project to be registered. The initial approval in principal was about 2 months ago and building has already started on 15 July 2013, but between the attorneys and building loans the registration of the project has still not been finalized. There were additional documents we had to sign, which we did and only after this they now have requested further documentation to be lodged. How can it take so long to register the building loan? The project is going to be delayed as we cannot request for payment until this process is completed. Nedbank is the worst when servicing their clients. Turn around times on these things are ridiculous. They are also requesting NHBRC enrollment certficicate which you cannot get for additions to an existing house. Refer to [URL Removed] I also have a re-advance amount against which I want to claim the first payment while this process is ongoing but no-one can tell how to do this.
