I recently financed a vehicle with Standard Bank. To my dismay this morning I discovered that not only was I paying for my motor vehicle but paid for someone else's as well, which put me into an overdraft situation. I spent over 25 minutes on the phone to sort out the query. The bank informed me it would take 24 hours to reverse, in the mean time I will be charged for the overdraft, and who pays for the phone call? In my profession I need have a clear credit and banking record obviously how can one when your own Bank is not competent to take care of your accounts. I find this situation very disturbing, how many other accounts have been abused like this due to incompetence. I am very disappointed after being with the bank for at least 20 years I consider this action by the bank.
